Dr Admissions was founded by a senior NHS doctor with years of experience in mentoring aspiring medical and dental students. 

Built on in-depth knowledge gained from being an NHS doctor for several decades and being actively involved in the admissions process, Dr Admissions brings you clear and expert senior guidance throughout your application.

As the platform is led by a single experienced NHS Doctor and Medical Educator, every resource and insight is crafted with consistency and a deep commitment to helping students succeed. I graduated as a medical doctor from King’s College London, qualifying as a General Practitioner in 2005. I subsequently became a Mindfulness Coach, graduating from the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation. I have a special interest in children’s health, obtaining a diploma in Child Health, from the RCPCH.

My work with medical students has involved teaching at several prestigious London Medical Schools. My roles here included being a personal tutor, clinical skills tutor, doctor as tutor, clinical professional practice tutor and examiner. In addition, I have taught junior doctors from FY1 to registrars in general practice training and other Consultants in the NHS.

I have experience of sitting on many Medical School Interview Panels, receiving specific interview training including Unconscious Bias and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. I have written many articles about medicine and education, some published in leading medical journals such as the British Journal of General Practice. I have experience leading and delivering Year 12 programmes, including UCAT Coaching, NHS Work Experience, Strategic Applications and Personal Statements, supporting hundreds of students.

*Any guidance is carried out in line with medical school guidelines, meaning we cannot share or disclose information such as interview questions.

While Dr Ahmed does not offer one-to-one sessions as part of the programme, these can be arranged through a team of experienced tutors who have been supervised and vetted by Dr Ahmed.

Dr Admissions Business Administrator Mrs Sophie Rashid Bsc

I am a highly organised and efficient individual with over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, having graduated with a BSc in Applied Computer Systems. After a successful career in IT, I took time out to focus on raising a family, guiding my children through A levels and University choices. I therefore have been through many of the challenges our clients are facing, both as students and parents. I am now in a Business Administrative role with Dr Admissions, where I can use my skills to help the day-to-day smooth running of the business and academic coordinator.

Dr Admissions Medical Education Consultant AdvisorsDr Irfan Ahmed BSc (Hons), MBBS, MRCP, FRCR

Consultant Interventional & Diagnostic Radiologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital. Dr Ahmed graduated from GKT with Radiology SpR training at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospitals. He obtained a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at St. Bartholomew’s & The Royal London Hospitals. Dr Ahmed is a Clinical and Educational supervisor for radiology trainees and teaches medical students at GKT. He is a frequent speaker at various national and international conferences.

 

Dr Admissions Medical Education Consultant Advisors Dr Seraj Anwer MBBS, MRCGP

Dr Seraj Anwer undertook Surgical Training in Wales and subsequently completed his General Practice training at the West Hertfordshire VTS. He was awarded his MRCGP from the Royal College of London in 2009. He has been a full-time partner at Lincoln House since 2011. Dr Anwer is the Dementia Champion and IT Lead at the practice. His specialist interests include minor surgery, joint injections and child health. In addition to his work as a GP, Dr Anwer serves as the Clinical Director of the Delta Primary Care Network.

He also teaches medical students as a GP tutor for both Cambridge University and Imperial College and holds the position of Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College School of Medicine.

Dr Admissions Medical Education Consultant Advisors Dr Ahmadur Rahman MBBS, BSc, MSc, MRCP, FRCR

Dr Rahman is a dual board-certified Global Oncology Executive in medical and radiation oncology. He has over 20 years of experience across the NHS and leading clinical strategy at Roche, MSD, and AstraZeneca. Bridging the gap between R&D innovation and business objectives, Dr Rahman specialises in steering Phase I-III trials toward regulatory success in immuno-oncology and precision medicine.

Dr Admissions Dental Lead Dr. Saba Qureshi BDS London (1999), MFDS RCS Eng (2002), MSc Orth London (2006)

Dr Qureshi is an Orthodontic Specialist with over 20 years of orthodontic experience. She is an NHS and private orthodontic specialist, orthodontic therapy trainer and mentor and a former contributing author for a Dentistry magazine. She is the creator of an educational programme to assist dental nurses with successful orthodontic therapy applications.

She completed her undergraduate dental training at St. Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospital. Following her qualification, she gained broad clinical experience across general dentistry, maxillofacial surgery, and paediatric dentistry, providing a strong foundation for her subsequent specialist training in orthodontics.

In 2006, she obtained her Master’s Degree and specialist orthodontic qualifications from Guy’s Hospital, London. Since then, she has focused exclusively on orthodontic practice, delivering high-quality care across both NHS and private settings. In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in professional education. She has trained and mentored several orthodontic therapists, supporting their development and progression within the field. She has a deep commitment to education that extends to the creation of structured learning programmes designed to guide dental nurses and aspiring orthodontic professionals in advancing their careers.

Counselling For Young Adults Mrs Rakshanda Hashmi

Applying to university can be an intense and emotionally demanding process. For additional support in this area Dr Admissions has partnered with Mrs Rakshanda Hashmi, a BACP registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. She provides online counselling to young people who may be suffering with issues such as stress and anxiety. Middle East Regional Liaison Manager Mrs Neelofar Rafique-Ahmed BSc (Hons)

Mrs Ahmed is a highly adaptable and organised professional with ten years of experience in research, communication, and client liaison within international law firms. She has consistently acted as a primary point of contact between legal teams and clients, delivering accurate updates, managing enquiries, preparing pricing information and work proposals. She began her career in London as a Legal Librarian before progressing into Business Development, where she contributed to marketing initiatives and coordinated client-focused events across Dubai and Riyadh. Her interests have also led her to roles for UNESCO.
