What You Will Learn During the 10-Week Course
MMI and Panel Interview Preparation
Many UK medical and dental schools use Multiple Mini Interviews, known as MMIs. These short, timed stations assess communication, empathy, teamwork, ethical judgement, problem-solving and professionalism.
Students learn how to approach MMI stations with structure, manage timing effectively and avoid vague answers to achieve optimalmedicine MMI and dental MMI preparation.
Answer Any Interview Question with the InterVIEW™ Method
Medical and dental school interviews are unlike any other academic assessment. Most students have never been in a formal interview setting before, and many struggle because they rely on memorised answers rather than learning how to think under pressure.
The InterVIEW™ Method is Dr Ahmed’s specialist interview framework, developed from her experience as an NHS Consultant, ex-Medical School Interviewer and Mindfulness Coach.
Inter– Interpret what the question is really asking V – Voice a clear, structured answer I – Integrate evidence from your own experiences E – Evaluate your response against medical or dental school expectations W– Work on weaknesses through targeted reflection and refinement
This framework helps students move beyond scripted answers by teaching them how to think clearly, structure responses effectively, and students are better prepared for unfamiliar questions across MMI stations and panel interviews.
Our 1:1 Mock Interviews provide intensive, university-specific preparation for Medicine, Dentistry and Oxbridge applicants.
Each mock interview is a one-hour session with the student and examiner, closely mirroring the real interview experience. Students receive scores, personalised feedback and model answer guidance to help refine their performance to a competitive standard.
All mock interview circuits are designed by Dr Ahmed, and at least one NHS doctor is present on every circuit.
1:1 Mock Interviews are designed to be booked after completing the Complete Interview Coaching Course, so students can apply the theory, frameworks and interview techniques they have learned in a realistic setting.
Bookings open in November. Additional costs apply.
Learn from Former Medical School Interviewer Dr Ahmed
The course is based on Dr Ahmed’s InterVIEW™ Method. The course is delivered by Dr Ahmed herself, a practising senior doctor, ex-Medical School Interviewer and experienced medical educator. Students benefit from clinical insight, an interviewer’s perspective, and structured teaching expertise, rather than generic advice or memorised model answers.
The course is designed to help students understand what interviewers are assessing and how to present themselves as thoughtful, reflective and professional future doctors or dentists.
Many interview courses are taught by students who have successfully passed their own interviews. That experience can be useful, but passing an interview does not automatically mean someone can then teach others, has clinical experience as a doctor/dentist, or assess candidates from an interviewer’s perspective.
As a practising clinician, Dr Ahmed understands the current issues facing healthcare, the realities of working with patients and the professional standards expected of future doctors and dentists.
Dr Ahmed has taught medical students, registrars and consultants over many years in university settings in the UK and internationally. She is also an ex-Medical School Interviewer, giving students direct insight into how answers are assessed and what distinguishes stronger candidates from weaker ones.
Why Medical and Dental School Interview Preparation Matters
Strong GCSEs, predicted grades, UCAT scores and personal statements may help students secure an interview, but ultimately interview performance determines whether they receive an offer.
Medical and dental school interviewers are not looking for rehearsed scripts. They are assessing how applicants think, communicate, reflect and respond under pressure.
This Year 13 medicine and dental interview course helps students develop:
Clear, structured interview answers
Confident communication
Strong ethical reasoning
A deeper understanding of NHS and healthcare issues
More effective use of personal examples
A calm and professional interview style
The ability to answer unexpected questions without relying on memorised responses
Interview invites can arrive with limited notice. This course gives students the structure, frameworks, examples and confidence needed before interview season begins.
Dental school interviews require specific preparation. Dentistry applicants need to demonstrate manual dexterity, communication skills, professionalism, understanding of the dental profession and genuine motivation for dentistry.
The course supports dental applicants with:
Dentistry MMI preparation
Dental ethics
Manual dexterity discussion
Motivation for dentistry
NHS dentistry awareness
Communication with anxious patients
Preventive dentistry
Professionalism in dental practice
Dental work experience reflection
Oxbridge and University-Specific Interview Preparation
Different universities assess candidates in different ways. Some focus heavily on ethics, while others prioritise communication, role play, personal statement discussion, NHS awareness, article-based questions or academic discussion.
The course is delivered online for UK medical and dental applicants, including students applying to universities across London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Oxford, Cambridge and other UK medical and dental schools.
In accordance with medical and dental school admissions standards, Dr Admissions does not share confidential interview mark schemes, internal assessment criteria, or actual interview questions encountered during Dr Ahmed’s time as a medical school interviewer.
All interview preparation is based on publicly available admissions guidance and Dr Ahmed’s wider clinical, educational, and admissions expertise.
FAQ
Does the course cover both MMI and panel interviews?
Yes. The course covers both Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs) and traditional panel interviews. You will learn how to structure answers, approach common question types, demonstrate key medical and dental school competencies, and adapt your communication style to each interview format.
While most use MMI some universities use panel interviews, where students are questioned by one or more interviewers. These interviews often explore motivation, work experience, personal statement content, understanding of the profession and suitability for the course.
Are the sessions recorded? What happens if I miss a lesson?
Yes. All live sessions are recorded, so if you miss a lesson, you can watch the recording afterwards and catch up in your own time. You will also have access to the relevant course materials and homework.
Do students receive resources?
Yes. Students receive access to the interview handbook and 5 additional masterclass recordings.
Should I wait until I receive an interview offer before booking?
No. Waiting until an interview offer arrives is usually too late. There is a lot to cover before students can perform confidently, especially for MMI stations, ethics, NHS hot topics and structured answer technique.
Will the course cover my chosen universities?
Yes. The course is designed to prepare students for a wide range of UK medical and dental school interviews, including MMI, panel and university-specific formats.
Does the course teach model answers?
The course teaches answer structure, strong examples and interview technique. It does not train students to memorise scripts. The focus is on helping students think clearly and communicate effectively under pressure.
Will the course prepare me for Oxbridge interviews?
Yes. The course helps Oxbridge applicants build the core skills needed for high-level medical or dental interviews, including structured thinking, ethical reasoning, communication, scientific discussion, personal insight and defending opinions under pressure. Students also receive access to an additional Oxbridge-focused masterclass.
Why are there additional masterclasses?
The additional masterclasses give students extra support in areas they commonly find most challenging. They allow students to spend more time on difficult topics and revisit key content during interview season.
Will I need anything else after this course?
The course gives students the theory, structure, frameworks and core knowledge needed for medical and dental school interviews. After completing the course, students may choose to book additional 1:1 mock interviews to put the theory into practice, receive personalised feedback and complete final preparation before the real interview.
What if I get nervous about interviews?
Feeling nervous before medical or dental school interviews is common. The course includes confidence coaching and a specialist module from Dr Ahmed, who is both a medical school interview tutor and trained mindfulness coach. This helps students manage interview nerves, stay calm under pressure and communicate more clearly.
How big is the class size?
The course is delivered as a lecture-based webinar, so students benefit from structured teaching in a focused group environment. This creates a motivating setting while still giving students access to clear frameworks, resources and expert guidance.
How is this different from a one-day interview course?
A one-day interview course can be useful for a quick overview, but medical and dental school interviews require more than a single day of preparation.
Our Complete Interview Coaching Course is a structured 10-week programme designed to build your interview skills properly over time. Instead of rushing through topics in one session, students are taught the key theory, frameworks, question types and model answer approaches week by week.
The aim is not just to give students information. The aim is to teach them how to think, structure and communicate clearly under interview pressure.
Testimonials
Dr Ahmed really took me a long way with…
Dr Ahmed really took me a long way with my interview prep, she is an
excellent teacher as she was able to highlight my flaws easily and give me
constructive criticism something that was vital as it didn't affect my confidence
which is something that I struggled with a lot. She was able to turn a qualitative
exam like interviews to something that I can learn and improve at which is
something I never thought was possible. I would definitely recommend her for
med/dent applications and specifically interview prep, as she has a ton of
experience and really knows what she is doing.
Dr Ahmed and her team are instrumental…
Dr Ahmed and her team are instrumental in helping my girl secure all four of
her med school offers. Competition is fierce especially for an international
student and she didn’t perform her best at her UCAT but thanks to Dr Ahmed’s
strategic application, confidence interview workshop and Uni specific interview
clinics and mocks, DD is able to receive all 4 offers including a very
aspirational one. Couldn’t have done it with Dr Ahmed! Thank you so so much.
Dr. Afrosa's interview prep
I found Dr. Afrosa's sessions to be incredibly helpful. I benefited hugely from
her interview course, the 121 mock circuits and the free sessions as the
practice and feedback that I got was very detailed. Dr. Afrosa never hesitated
to bring out errors and improvements in a constructive manner as I answered
questions and this was really beneficial. Her specific approach to answering
different types of questions is very clear and that made it very easy to tackle
both the common and challenging questions that could come up in interviews. I
really could not recommend her more!!
Expert guidance that truly makes a difference!
We are extremely grateful to Dr. Afrosa for the outstanding mock MMI courses and
university-specific interview preparation she provides.. She is highly professional,
approachable, and supportive, creating a calm and encouraging environment that
immediately put my daughter at ease.
The mock MMIs were very well structured and realistic, closely reflecting the format
and expectations of actual medical school interviews. Dr. Afrosa clearly understands
what different universities are looking for and tailored her guidance accordingly. Her
feedback was detailed, constructive, and invaluable in helping my daughter refine
her answers, strengthen her communication skills, and build confidence.
As a result of this excellent preparation, my daughter felt fully prepared and received
offers straight away. We would highly recommend Dr. Afrosa to any aspiring medical
student seeking high-quality, effective, and supportive MMI preparation.
