The InterVIEW™ Method
Dr Ahmed’s InterVIEW™ Method provides a practical process for both preparation and live interviews:
Interpret
Identify what the question is asking and which qualities are being assessed.
Voice
Give a direct, clearly structured answer with logical progression.
Integrate
Support your answer with relevant evidence, reflection and personal experience.
Evaluate
Assess the strength of your response against interview expectations.
Work on Weaknesses
Use practice, feedback and reflection to improve weaker areas.
By the end of the programme, students should be better able to:
Answer unfamiliar questions without relying on scripts
Structure responses clearly and concisely
Reflect effectively on work experience
Apply ethical principles to realistic scenarios
Discuss NHS and healthcare issues
Use personal examples appropriately
Manage timed MMI stations
Defend an opinion while remaining balanced
Communicate confidently under pressure
Adapt their technique to different university formats
Learn from a Former Medical School Interviewer
The programme is led by Dr Afrosa Ahmed, an NHS Consultant, former medical school interviewer, experienced medical educator and trained mindfulness coach.
Her experience combines:
Assessing medical school applicants
Teaching medical students and doctors
Current NHS clinical practice
Understanding of professional and ethical standards
Interview confidence and pressure-management coaching
Students therefore learn not only how to answer questions, but how assessors evaluate reasoning, reflection, professionalism and communication.

Our Ethical Approach
Dr Admissions does not share confidential mark schemes, internal assessment material or actual questions encountered during Dr Ahmed’s work as a medical school interviewer.
All preparation is based on publicly available admissions guidance and Dr Ahmed’s broader clinical, educational and admissions experience.
The programme teaches students how to communicate their own experiences and reasoning. It does not provide scripts intended to misrepresent an applicant’s abilities or experiences.
FAQ
Are the sessions recorded? What happens if I miss a lesson?
Yes. All live sessions are recorded, so if you miss a lesson, you can watch the recording afterwards and catch up in your own time. You will also have access to the relevant course materials and homework.
Do I need a good UCAT score to get an interview and book a course?
Don’t worry if your score isn’t extremely high.
Medicine: Scores around 1600–1700 could still be considered at some universities. For example, Lincoln considered around 1600, while Keele and Sunderland had scores around 1700.
Dentistry: Liverpool considered scores from around 1620+, while other universities often looked for 1700–1850+.
Strong GCSEs can sometimes help make up for a lower UCAT score, such as at Queen’s Belfast.
So, if your UCAT is around 1600–1800+, it can still be worth booking the interview course.
Should I wait until I receive an interview offer before booking?
No. Interview invitations can arrive with limited notice, while effective preparation requires time to develop answer structures, improve reflection and practise consistently.
The 10-week format is designed to build these skills progressively rather than compressing preparation into the period immediately before an interview.
Will I need anything else after this course?
The £595 course provides the teaching, frameworks, resources and core preparation needed for medical and dental school interviews.
We recommend completing at least one university-specific mock interview after the course to practise under realistic conditions and receive personalised feedback. Each mock costs £150 and is purchased separately.
The total expected cost for the course and one recommended mock interview is £745. Additional mocks are optional and cost £150 each.
What if I get nervous about interviews?
Feeling nervous before medical or dental school interviews is common. The course includes confidence coaching and a specialist module from Dr Ahmed, who is both a medical school interview tutor and trained mindfulness coach. This helps students manage interview nerves, stay calm under pressure and communicate more clearly.
How big is the class size?
The course is delivered to a large cohort, with the content and support structured to ensure a clear and engaging learning experience.
How is this different from a one-day/crash interview course?
A one-day course provides a rapid overview. This programme develops interview technique over 10 weeks through structured teaching, weekly practice, assignments and session recordings.
The aim is not simply to cover interview topics, but to help students apply the techniques consistently under pressure.
What is the refund policy?
Course fees are non-refundable once payment has been completed, as your place is reserved and access to the programme, materials and recordings is prepared in advance. Please review the course dates, format and contents carefully before booking. By enrolling, you confirm that you are able to attend the programme and accept that the course fee is non-refundable.
What happens after booking?
After booking, you will receive a confirmation email with your course details and next steps. Before the programme begins, you will be sent instructions for joining the live online sessions and accessing the course resources.
Recordings, assignments and supporting materials will be shared throughout the 10-week programme. You will also receive information about booking an optional university-specific mock interview later in the course.
Testimonials
Dr Ahmed really took me a long way with…
Dr Ahmed really took me a long way with my interview prep, she is an
excellent teacher as she was able to highlight my flaws easily and give me
constructive criticism something that was vital as it didn't affect my confidence
which is something that I struggled with a lot. She was able to turn a qualitative
exam like interviews to something that I can learn and improve at which is
something I never thought was possible. I would definitely recommend her for
med/dent applications and specifically interview prep, as she has a ton of
experience and really knows what she is doing.
Dr Ahmed and her team are instrumental…
Dr Ahmed and her team are instrumental in helping my girl secure all four of
her med school offers. Competition is fierce especially for an international
student and she didn’t perform her best at her UCAT but thanks to Dr Ahmed’s
strategic application, confidence interview workshop and Uni specific interview
clinics and mocks, DD is able to receive all 4 offers including a very
aspirational one. Couldn’t have done it with Dr Ahmed! Thank you so so much.
Dr. Afrosa's interview prep
I found Dr. Afrosa's sessions to be incredibly helpful. I benefited hugely from
her interview course, the 121 mock circuits and the free sessions as the
practice and feedback that I got was very detailed. Dr. Afrosa never hesitated
to bring out errors and improvements in a constructive manner as I answered
questions and this was really beneficial. Her specific approach to answering
different types of questions is very clear and that made it very easy to tackle
both the common and challenging questions that could come up in interviews. I
really could not recommend her more!!
Expert guidance that truly makes a difference!
We are extremely grateful to Dr. Afrosa for the outstanding mock MMI courses and
university-specific interview preparation she provides.. She is highly professional,
approachable, and supportive, creating a calm and encouraging environment that
immediately put my daughter at ease.
The mock MMIs were very well structured and realistic, closely reflecting the format
and expectations of actual medical school interviews. Dr. Afrosa clearly understands
what different universities are looking for and tailored her guidance accordingly. Her
feedback was detailed, constructive, and invaluable in helping my daughter refine
her answers, strengthen her communication skills, and build confidence.
As a result of this excellent preparation, my daughter felt fully prepared and received
offers straight away. We would highly recommend Dr. Afrosa to any aspiring medical
student seeking high-quality, effective, and supportive MMI preparation.
